Obstetrics & Gynaecology is a branch of Medicine that specialises in the care of women during pregnancy and childbirth, and in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of female reproductive system.

Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at M.V.J

The department has a well equipped Labour room, Obstetrics ICU, Eclampsia Labour Room and a Septic Labour Room.

Apart from routine surgeries, the department has done Surgeries like Tubal reconstruction (Laparoscopic) Werthiem’s Operation.

Specialty Clinics like Infertility, Cancer Screening, High risk pregnancy, MCH Clinic, Gynaec Endocrine clinics are available.

Screening for HIV in Pregnancy and the department is recognized for PPTCT services byKarnataka State AIDS Prevention Society (KSAPS).
